'Faithfulness' is the signature work and is unique as it is a collaboration the artist has painted along with the fine artists Joanna Charlotte and M K Davis who are her sister and brother in law respectively. Joanna Charlotte is a multi-disciplinary British artist with works in many genres, including producing fine art wallpaper for Osborne & Little and handpainted murals with the chinoiserie artist Diane Hill. All three fellow artists share the same faith and wanted to bring together their various talents to explore the theme of faithfulness with surprising results - it was a relay collaboration. Julia Swaby produced the abstract background first not knowing what would follow. The central idea was to have a peach tidal wave arching right over an abstracted seascape, which provides a sense of cover for the viewer, or being encapsulated in warmth, the sensation of faith. M K Davis went second and after long contemplation decided to paint three wilderbeest. Wilderbeest are known to take leaps over ravines and other dangerous places in order to escape predators, hence the leap of faith. The wilderbeest with the most detail is the one taking the leap of faith, two are struggling in the water. M K Davis is an emerging but already award winning artist who specialises in charcoals. Once Joanna Charlotte received the work she decided to paint elements of the desert. The rock of the canyons represent the rock of faith itself and the desert flower as it can bloom in the most arid of environments. The cactus component signifies another plant which can thrive in inhospitable climates, as does faith. This highly collectable work has an epic quality to it which is strengthened by the collaborative aspect of the artists, who together make up the art group 'Trinity Art Hastings'.
