Artist Statement:
Skeet has been an artist since the moment he was able to hold a pencil. He is primarily self-taught and believes being an artist means always learning, always growing and stretching. Skeet says, "I've never liked focusing on one genre; I paint what I want to paint, as I see it, and I pray that people find as much joy in the results as I do in creating it."
Along with being a painter, Skeet is also a musician and songwriter. He serves as the Director of Choral Music at the First United Methodist Church in Wellington, Kansas and plays guitar in the praise band. He has three CDs available: two with the band Zebedee's Blunder (Zebedee's Blunder and Zebedee's Blunder Too) the other is a solo project of mostly original material (Got It Made). Skeet is currently in the studio working on a second solo project.
Even though he’s passionate about art and music he also enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and soul-mate, Mardon’ and their miniature dachshund, Liebshon.
Artist Statement
Painting, for me, is about sharing a moment of God's grace. It is about using what He has given me to somehow make the world around me a better place. I truly believe art should celebrate life.
There is a pathway we are all meant to follow. Some spend a life-time searching for it while others never find it. My prayer is that you find your bliss and make it a blessing for those who cross your path. As for me...I am a painter and a musician.
Blessings.
